I had a lovely stay at this boutique hotel, thanks to the stunning decor and friendly staff who made me feel welcome. The proximity to the museum district and Christmas markets was a real plus. However, the breakfast pricing felt a bit steep and could use some more variety. While the room was gorgeous and clean, the size was a bit limiting for mobility.

Rooms
8.0
The room was beautifully appointed and impeccably clean, though slightly small for my taste.
Service
9.0
The service was attentive, and I appreciated the little touches such as complimentary water and toiletries.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated close to the museum district and Christmas markets, making it convenient for exploring.
Dining

Breakfast was nice but overpriced for what was offered, lacking some variety.
Facilities
7.0
While there were no standout facilities beyond the basics, the hotel's charm was in its decor and atmosphere.

6.4/10

This hotel boasts a charming atmosphere and is nestled in a quiet, elegant neighborhood, making it an appealing choice for a getaway. The breakfast spread is delightful, and the service has a personal touch. However, the rooms fell short of expectations with poor quality bedding, and the overall experience felt more like a three-star offering than four. Additionally, the cost of breakfast was steep given the limited options.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were quite small and did not meet the standards I expected for a four-star hotel. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the mattress felt thin. There were also issues such as poor drainage in the sink.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly and attentive, particularly highlighting one staff member, Sam, who made our breakfast experience enjoyable. However, it felt lacking for the price we paid, especially since breakfast wasn't included.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated in a lovely residential area with easy tram access to the city. It’s about a 20-minute walk to Vondelpark, which is quite pleasant.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was a highlight with a charming setting and good quality offerings, but the €19.90 price felt excessive considering the limited variety.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel features a charming breakfast room with a garden view, which enhances the dining experience. However, there seemed to be little else in terms of facilities, especially with no lunch or dinner options available due to renovations.

I had a pleasant stay at Apollofirst Hotel, nestled in a quiet yet vibrant area of Amsterdam. The rooms were stylish but a bit small, especially the double room I booked for my parents, which they found cramped. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was generally helpful, although my check-in experience left something to be desired. Overall, it’s a charming place but I would recommend it mainly for solo travelers or couples who don’t mind smaller rooms.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms, while stylish, were smaller than expected, particularly the double room which felt cramped for two. My single room was comfortable but still on the smaller side.
Service
7.0
The service was mixed; while some staff were friendly and accommodating, my check-in experience was frustrating due to poor communication and delays.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just a short walk to tram stops and surrounded by lovely cafes and shops, making it very accessible to explore Amsterdam.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast was a standout with a great selection and quality, though I wish they offered lunch and dinner as well.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers a lovely garden area for relaxation, but it may lack some additional amenities typical for larger hotels.

7.0/10

The hotel has a lovely, artsy vibe and staff that go above and beyond, especially Sam who was a standout. However, the breakfast pricing felt excessive given the standard offerings, and the room quality could use some updates. Overall, it was a fair experience, but the price compared to the amenities left a bit to be desired.

Rooms
6.0
The room had beautiful black and gold décor, but the furniture was showing signs of wear, and the double bed was two singles pushed together, which was not ideal.
Service
9.0
The service was friendly and attentive, with staff like Sam making a notable difference to our stay by providing recommendations and engaging conversations.
Location
8.0
Located in a quiet neighborhood close to shops and tram links, it felt safe and was a nice escape from the bustle of the city center.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was quite basic and overpriced at €19.90 per day, which was disappointing given the limited selection available.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had a stylish bar and a quaint breakfast lounge, contributing positively to the overall ambiance.

8.0/10

My stay at this boutique hotel was filled with charm and character, though the room amenities left something to be desired. The location, away from the tourist crowds, was a definite plus with easy access to local dining spots. I truly enjoyed the beautiful, elegant decor throughout the hotel, but the room’s condition and limited amenities were disappointing for a 4-star establishment.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms had an elegant design, but unfortunately, they lacked air conditioning and were too hot during the summer. The cleanliness was impressive, and the toiletries provided were lovely.
Service
10.0
The service was fantastic with every staff member going out of their way to assist me, especially Marteen who gave great local recommendations.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a peaceful residential area, which provided a lovely escape from the bustling city, and there are plenty of nice restaurants and shops nearby.
Dining
9.0
The breakfast spread was extensive and located in a beautiful dining area with garden views, offering a delicious start to the day.
Facilities
7.0
While the facilities were elegant and well-maintained, the lack of certain amenities commonly found in hotels of this level is something to consider.
